Thomas Dalgas Rasmussen
Thomas is an Energy Engineer at Energinet in the department of Flexibility & Ancillary Services. He is employed by Energinet since April 2016 and he is heavily involved with developing technical requirements for reserves based on the needs of the Nordic and Continental European electric synchronous areas. This includes steering projects and participating as an expert on both technical requirements and market designs in international working groups. Thomas also works on the implementation of international requirements in national codes, testing and prequalification of units to deliver ancillary services in Denmark, audit of ancillary service deliveries and management of stakeholders, Project steering and participation of a Danish TSO-DSO collaboration to enable trade with local flexibility to resolve local bottlenecks due to massive integration of renewable production and electrification of consumption. Lastly Thomas works on enabling flexible consumption and renewable production to participate in relevant ancillary service markets, etc. through pilots and testing to lower entry barriers and develop new solutions.
