Sam joined Centrica in early 2017 to work on the Cornwall Local Energy Market, an innovation project part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. As Product Manager, Sam is responsible for market and regulatory analysis, product definition and strategy, and functionality of Centrica's Local Energy Market platform. Sam is a former lawyer, having worked in New Zealand for various electricity clients across the supply chain on regulatory, contractual and litigation matters. Sam moved to the UK to undertake a Master of Public Policy at the University of Oxford, focusing on climate change and infrastructure policy, thereafter conducting research on flexibility markets at BEIS and working in the legal and regulatory team at Ecotricity.
