Commercial and Industrial Energy users Days

The energy-intensive sector is of huge importance to the energy transition. Although the sector is slowly changing from having energy consumers only, to welcoming energy prosumers, progress needs to be made in improving energy efficiency.

Commercial and Industrial energy users currently consume 26% of Europe’s energy annually. With Europe targeting a 40% CO² emission cuts by 2030 and 60% by 2040, the importance of industrial and commercial energy is crucial at the moment.

To support this progress in the energy transition, European Utility Week launched Commercial and Industrial Energy user Days (CIED) in 2017 in Amsterdam and we expect it to be even bigger and better in 2018!

Do you work for a commercial or industrial energy user on decreasing the use of energy, or the related costs? We have a complementary all-access pass available for you so you can attend all EUW sessions!

Your application will be confirmed within 1 week by the organiser, via e-mail.

What will CIED bring you?

Launched in 1999, European Utility Week has grown to the premier event for European utility industry professionals focusing on regional and global developments in Grid & Renewables, Energy Storage, Energy Trading, Smart Metering, Smart Homes, Smart Cities, Energy Services & Efficiency, Data Management, Analytics and IoT, Cyber Security, Smart Gas and Smart Water.

These topics are paramount for businesses to save costs and reduce CO² emissions. The CIED approved Programme highlights these developments and provides large energy users with a journey through the various sessions of the 3-day Summit programme at EUW. We finalise the programme with a dedicated CIED session on 7 November.

These are the topics we will focus on:

  • Monetising your flexible capacity
  • Energy price drivers
  • Energy efficiency optimisation
  • Digitalisation challenges
  • Sustainable energy procurement
  • European PPA market
  • Investment challenges
