Talk Community Interview : MiDo

Miriam Surro, Chief Executive Officer, MiDo

What do you see as the biggest opportunity for the energy industry?

this is a time of great change for the energy field. The next few years, the big challenge will be saving, and recovering resources. In particular, the sector in which MiDo is involved, the field of water resources, requires a great effort to avoid that blue gold is better distributed and protected.

The only way to achieve these results is the application of technologies, in particular those linked to the Internet of things, and artificial intelligence. Through innovation, it will be possible to monitor, detect critical issues, offer a better service to citizens, as well as protect the environment.

What do you see as the biggest threat to the energy industry?

the greatest tragedy and danger for humanity is to continue to waste energy in all its forms, continuing to destroy our natural resources and the environment.

What are the key topics you will highlight at this year’s EUW?

We will show our solutions to create a smart metering network for water resources: interoperable, complete, easy. We will present the LoRaWan systems and NBIoT, LTE and GPRS products for monitoring urban and extra-urban areas. We will present data management platforms from MiDo or third-party devices, integrating every open protocols. These technologies aim to protect and recover water resource through smart monitoring.
