A large number of Basque companies with extensive experience in the field of smart grids have joined the “Smart Grids Basque Country” brand, created by the Basque Energy Cluster to merge forces, project their capacities and place the Basque Country as a global benchmark in this field of great projection.
During European Utility Week & POWERGEN Europe 2019, The Basque Energy Cluster (Cluster de Energía) brought 7 associated companies to the Smart Grids Basque Country Pavilion to showcase the best of what is being made in the Basque Country.
Visitors to the Smart Grids Basque Country Pavilion experienced how innovative Basque companies work on the challenges of smart grids and the strong collaboration that exists between partners in industry, utilities, government agencies, universities and R&D centres.
The Basque Energy Cluster is a non-profit private organisation, which was set up at the end of 1996 within the framework of the Basque Government's policy to foster the competitiveness of the industrial sector. With 167 members, it integrates the leading companies in the value chain of the energy sector (energy operators, equipment and component manufacturers and service companies), agents in the Basque scientific-technological field, and public administration bodies with responsibilities in the energy area.

SDIC (Association of Industrial Plant Suppliers) strives to maintain key know how essential for implementing big technology and industrial plants in the Czech Republic and abroad in energy, chemicals and the food industry.
The organisation protects the interests of its members when negotiating with state authorities and takes an active part in shaping export policies, and actively searches for export opportunities in prospective markets, establishes contacts with foreign partners and contributes to the efficiency of commercial relationships.
The India Pavilion was organised by Indian Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. The Italian Pavilion, organised by ITA and ANIE, showcased the latest Italian technology and innovation experience in the field of smart grids. The Pavilion was organised under the auspices of the Italian Ministry for Economic Development.
A significant number of Italian companies with extensive and specialised experience in the field of smart metering, monitoring, data analysis and digitalisation came together under the Italian Pavilion to jointly project their capabilities and underline Italy’s position as a global benchmark for excellence in this critical industry.
The 20 companies and two startups selected for the Italian Pavilion represented the best of what is being made in Italy.
Visitors experienced innovative solutions to the challenges of Smart Grids, Energy Efficiency, Renewables, Smart Cities/Smart homes, Electric Mobility, Grid Security, Power Generation, presenting solutions to improve efficiency in Utilities and Power Generators, as well as their relations with smart consumers. Come and meet the Nordic energy sector at European Utility Week!
Here you met Nordic companies and utilities with wide-ranging experience in the field of smart grids, energy production, energy storage, and charging.
The Nordic Clusters and innovationhubs CLEAN (DK), Nordic Edge (NO), and InnoEnergy (SE) has merged forces into projecting the Nordics as a global benchmark in this field. The Nordics is sponsored by Nordic Energy Research.
During European Utility Week & POWERGEN Europe 2019, the Nordics brought up to 7 exhibiting companies to the Nordics Pavilion to showcase the best of what is being made in the Nordic countries. Furthermore, they brought utilities and knowledge institutions as speakers and delegates.
Visitors at the Nordic Pavilion met innovative companies from Denmark, Norway and Sweden and experienced how these companies work with the challenges of digitalisation, charging infrastructure, smart metering, piping and renewable energy sources such as wave power and PV. Furthermore, the visitors got an understanding of the strong collaboration existing between partners in industries, utilities, government agencies, universities, and R&D centers.
The Nordic Pavilion was hosted by CLEAN, Nordic Edge, InnoEnergy, Innovation Norway and Innovationsnetværket – Smart Energy.
The organisers and the exhibiting companies of the Nordics Pavilion invited our attendees to join in on their program from Tuesday to Wednesday at the Pavilion (L110) during which they had activities such as Meet the Nordic Companies, SME meet’ n’ greet cocktail - sponsored by Innovation Norway, and the ICN Networking Cocktail.
