What is European Utility Week?

European Utility Week is a three-day event that spotlights every part of the energy ecosystem.

From November 12-14, the influencers, innovators and disruptors in Europe’s transitioning energy sector will meet at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles to highlight the strategies and technologies that will deliver their shared vision of a fully integrated European energy system on a path towards decarbonisation.

An extensive and diverse Summit programme will deep dive into the trends and future direction of each aspect of the sector, while a bustling exhibition floor and free-to-attend Hub Session programme offer visitors the opportunity to see the latest technologies and solutions first hand, exchange ideas and share knowledge.

What is POWERGEN Europe, co-located event?

POWERGEN Europe is the only large scale event giving serious attention to the conventional power sector. It will address Europe’s installed thermal power base's After Market,  Decentralised Generation and Existing Asset Maintenance.

The co-location of POWERGEN Europe with European Utility Week provides attendees with one show covering the end-to-end value chain of power generation, distribution and digital transformation.

What is the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Energy Users Programme?

The Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Energy Users Programme was launched by European Utility Week as a platform to respond to the growing interest of the sector in facilitating a faster pace for greater energy efficiency. The C&I approved Programme highlights the most recent developments in the energy transition topics and provides large energy users with a journey through the various sessions of the 3-day Summit programme at the event.

What is Initiate!?

Initiate!  was launched by European Utility Week as a platform for startups, students, young professionals and established professionals to share ideas and innovations.

The Initiate! programme stimulates innovation and change in the energy industry by including all players in the discussion – all with the intention to catapult the industry forward.

What is the EU Projects Zone?

The European Commission endorses, for the third consecutive year, the EU Projects Zone featured at the exhibition floor of European Utility Week and POWERGEN Europe. 31 EU funded projects will showcase digital products and services providing new opportunities for consumers and European companies, and offering new business opportunities based on technology, research, and innovation.

The Energy Capital Leaders Assembly will bring together investors and asset owners from traditional utilities and major energy companies, to support the Energy Transition; not just from a geopolitical standpoint, but to enable participants to navigate the finance and investment landscape. It will take place on 13 November during European Utility Week & POWERGEN Europe.

How can I attend the event?

You can attend the event as a Visitor, a Summit delegate, a student or you can be part of the event as a Sponsor, an Exhibitor or a Partner.

Note: Pre-event registration as a Visitor is free of charge. Anyone who registers on site during the event, from the 12th to the 14th of November at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, will be charged €99.

 

Is the event free of charge?

Online Visitor Registration is free – a Visitor Pass will give you access to the Exhibition Floor, the Hub Sessions and the Networking Receptions. Check this page for more information.

Anyone who registers on site during the event, from the 12th to the 14th of November at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, will be charged €99.

 

Until when can I register to the event?

Online registration for Free Visitor Pass will be available until Monday, 11th of November. Anyone who registers on site during the event, from the 12th to the 14th of November at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, will be charged €99.

Online registration for Summit Pass will be available until Friday, 8th of November. If you decide after the 8th of November that you would like to attend the Summit, passes will be available on site for the applicable rate.

Do I have to pay to access the Hub Sessions?

Access to the Hub Sessions is included in your free Visitor Pass – all you have to do is register here. 

Note: Pre-event registration as a Visitor is free of charge. Anyone who registers on site during the event, from the 12th to the 14th of November at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, will be charged €99.

 

What is the difference between a Visitor Pass, a Summit Pass and a 1-Day Summit Pass?   

A Visitor Pass is free and gives you access to the Exhibition Floor, the Hub Sessions, the Initiate! Hub and the Networking Receptions. Your Visitor Pass is valid for all 3 days of the event.

A Summit Pass grants you access to all the above, plus the exclusive Summit area, where you will be able to attend the Summit programme, networking sessions. You also have access to the Premium Lounge, lunch and refreshments. Your Summit pass is valid for all 3 days of the event and different rates are applicable, depending on the date you register and your company type. 

A 1-Day Summit Pass gives you access to all the above, but then for 1 day of your choice (you will be asked to confirm the day you want to attend until 1 week before the event). The 1-Day Summit Pass is only available until the 12th of October - after that, it will no longer be possible to purchase a 1-Day Summit pass.

Are there group discounts to attend the Summit?

Yes. If you want to register a group of people to attend the Summit, there are different registration rates applying to Utilities/ Cities/ Governments/ Non-Profit, Traders and Vendors.

What are the payment methods available?

You can pay for your Summit pass by bank transfer or with credit card. You can select the payment method during the registration process. 

 

Do I need to register for an Exhibitor Pass?

Yes, all exhibitors need to register for the event, using their customised link available in the Exhibitor Portal

Build up passes: It is mandatory to register on site on arrival at one of the loading doors to enter the premises; please note that you will be asked for your ID. Make sure you inform your workers accordingly. No pre-registration is needed.

 

Can students attend the Summit for free?

Students can apply to the Initiate! Young Talent Programme if they want to attend the Summit for free. Their application will be considered by a selection committee and selected students will be asked to contribute to the Initiate! final report as well.

How can I join the C&I - Commercial & Industrial Energy users Programme?

If you work for a commercial or industrial energy user on decreasing the use of energy, or the related costs, you can apply for a complementary all-access pass so you can attend all the Summit sessions.

Your application will be confirmed within 1 week by the organiser, via e-mail.

 

I am a member of the press. How can I join the event?

As a press pass holder, you’ll be given access to our top speakers and ambassadors, as well as full access to the 3-day event, the exhibition, all Hub Sessions and to the strategic Summit. We will also assist you in setting up interviews which you can conduct in our dedicated media centre.

I am a speaker. Do I need to register for the event?

Yes, you should register for your Contributor pass as soon as possible by filling out a form available in the Speakers Portal. If you don’t know how to access the Speakers Portal, get in touch with our Content team: Conference.Europe@clarionevents.com

 

I have registered, but I didn’t receive a confirmation e-mail. What can I do?

Please check your Spam Folder for the confirmation e-mail. If it is not there, send us an e-mail at service@european-utility-week.com and let us know which was the e-mail address you registered with, so our team can help you.

 

I have made a mistake during registration. How can I edit my information?

If you have registered for a Visitor Pass, you can click on this link and use your Registration key to update your registration.

If you have registered for a Summit Pass, send us an e-mail at service@european-utility-week.com and let us know which was the e-mail address you registered with, so our team can help you.

 

How do I get my ticket to access European Utility Week & POWERGEN Europe?

1 week prior to the event you will receive an e-mail from the organisers with a link taking you to the entrance barcode voucher. Click on the link and take the barcode voucher with you to the event on your phone/ tablet or as a print out. At the registration area you will be able to scan your barcode and receive your badge to access the event.

Can I book my hotel and flight to Paris at discounted rates?

Yes, we work with dedicated agents that provide special discounts and rates for hotel bookings around the venue and flight reservations to Paris.

Is there a shuttle service available?

Yes, there is a free shuttle service available to all event attendees. 

The shuttles are available from the airports Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly, and train stations Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon to the event venue Paris Expo Porte de Versailles for your round trip from November 11th to 15th.

Please note the shuttle service will not be available if you don't book it online in advance.

Will there be free WI-FI in the Paris Expo Porte de Versaille?

During the event there will be open Wi-Fi available for all visitors on the exhibition floor and Summit rooms. This network will be able to support all basic internet functionalities (mobile devices / event website access). Access details will be shared on site, in our printed floor plan and venue signage.

 

Is there an event app I can download?

The Website and the Networking Portal are all in the same platform, you don't need to download an event app. All the information about the event is available across all your devices - desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile phone.

Will delegates receive a copy of the presentation material?

Yes, all registered Summit delegates will receive an e-mail after the event with a link to access the presentation material.

 

What is the official entrance of the event?

The official entrance is Gate A1 (previously called Gate L).

 

Where can I park my car during the event?

Parking 1 (previously called Parking R) is the closest one to the exhibition - click here to download a map.

A parking ticket can be purchased via the Epex platform; click here for instructions.

 

Will there be a cloakroom?

The cloakroom is located on the right side when entering Pavilion 1 and it opens daily from 30 minutes prior to and until 30 minutes after show hours. Please note that a fee of EUR 2 per item will apply.

 

Will there be an ATM?

You can find an ATM outside of the Pavilion 1 main entrance (official EUW & PGE entrance).

 

What are the food / diet options available at the venue?

The various catering facilities at the venue will offer vegetarian, gluten free and lactose free options.

 

Will there be a prayer room in the venue?

There is no prayer room available at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

 

Where is the first aid office located?

An infirmary located next to Pavilion 1 will ensure first aid service throughout the exhibition period, including build up and breakdown.

How do I access the Networking Portal?

  • Go to the Login Page
  • Insert the e-mail address you used to register for the event. The password was sent to you via e-mail. If you don't know where the e-mail is, click on the 'Forgot your password?' link in the Login Page so you receive an e-mail to create a new password.

 

How do I get my password to access the Networking Portal?

The password to your Networking Portal has been sent out to you via e-mail after your registration. If you haven’t received this or if your password doesn’t work, you can also go to the Login Page and click on the 'Forgot your password?' link to create a new password.

Please note your e-mail address will only be recognised if you have opted in to the Networking Portal while registering.

 

How do I change my details in the Networking Portal?

Attendees and Speakers can change their details themselves, on the ‘Profile’ menu, including your password.

You can also update your preferences, so that your recommendations match your interests. 

If you’re an Exhibitor, Partner or Sponsor, log in to your Exhibitor Portal to change your company information – this will be automatically updated within the Networking Portal

 

Can I change my password to access the Networking Portal?

Yes, you can go to Profile and click on ‘Edit Profile’ and then on ‘Account’ – here, you can create a new password to access the Networking Portal.

If your password doesn’t work or you don’t know where it is, you can also go to the Login Page and click on the 'Forgot your password?' link to create a new password.

Please note your e-mail address will only be recognised if you have opted in to the Networking Portal while registering.

 

On which devices can I access the Networking Portal?

The Website and the Networking Portal are all in the same platform and all the information about the event will be available across all your devices, via your Internet browser - desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile phone.

You don't need to download an event app - all you have to do is browse the website.

 

Do I have access to the attendees list in the Networking Portal?

Yes, the attendees list is accessible in the Networking Portal and you can search for who you want to find. Go to the Matchmaking menu, People tab, and check out who you can meet in Paris!

Have you found who you’re looking for? Then send them a direct message or an appointment request by clicking one of the icons in front of their names.

Don’t forget to check Your Recommendations: we use your preferences to recommend other attendees and exhibitors to you that match your interests!

Note: Due to the GDPR regulation, the attendees list available in the Networking Portal includes only the names of attendees who gave their consent to be a part of the public list and this networking platform. Those who have not given their consent are not listed.

 

How can I connect with other attendees in the Networking Portal?

If you find someone who you want to connect with in the People list (Matchmaking tab), you can click on one of the icons in front of their company name and:

You can check your messages within the Networking Portal by clicking the blue circle on top of the left-hand menu.

You can check your appointments requests within the Networking Portal by going to the Appointments tab and checking the right-hand bar.

 

Can I download my appointments schedule from the Networking Portal?

Yes, you can go to the Appointments tab, click the ‘More’ button and select ‘Download my schedule’ from the dropdown.

 

How can I check my Contact List in the Networking Portal?

You can check your Contact List within the Networking Portal by going to the Matchmaking tab and checking the right-hand bar.

 

Can I create my personal Agenda in the Networking Portal?

Yes, you can browse the Programme sessions on the website and bookmark your favourite ones. Make sure you are logged in to the Networking Portal and they will become immediately available on the Networking Portal menu My Favourites.
