STARTUPS & YOUNG TALENT

If innovation and startups walk hand in hand, this is even more a fact in the US!

Within the scope of the innovation focused co-located event Initiate!, it was possible to meet with startups making a start on the Smart Energy industry and looking for partners and investors to help them grow from startup to scale-up.

The Initiate! Programme also focuses on involving Smart Energy students who can give their fresh input and contribution to the community.

These startups travelled from the US to The Netherlands to showcase their solutions in the Initiate! Hub in 2017:

NYU - New York University was a Partner of Initiate! 2017 and brought a delegation of students from the USA to European Utility Week!

The 2017 USA Country Pavilion gathered companies and solutions under one flag to showcase the best of what is being made in America.

The pavilion was developed in close collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce, which granted trade fair certification to EUW17, recognizing the event as an excellent opportunity to showcase U.S. products and services. This offered U.S. companies the opportunity to gain exposure, expand their business and engage with key European stakeholders in different networking opportunities.
