Renewable energy and energy efficiency have a huge standing in The Netherlands and the country is especially leading in wind energy at sea, biomass processing and greenhouse farming. The government has taken a very clear stance on a modern industry policy and the country has vowed to half CO2 emissions by 2050 and generate 40 percent of their electricity from sustainable sources.
